Dude... the Koda's... have you seen the graphs? If you are looking for a pair of midbass drivers that will keep up with your DLS component set, the Koda's are the speakers for you. The graphs show that the speaker does AWESOME from 60-200 hz. The DLS mid, if it's anything like my DLS UR6 mid, will do AWESOME above 200hz.

You will NOT be dissattisfied. I have a video of the Koda's on realm of excursion, go check it out. I think that the throw and size alone is a good enough reason to go with the Koda's.

i'm no audio genius but i'd personally throw some 8's up front just for kicks. but definitely the step up in size alone is going to be a huge improvement. and i'm for sure that the koda's are no slackers, adire make damm good stuff. go for it.

if you have balls. and ~150w x2@4 ohms to pump out - get the kodas.

XXX mids

if it were extremis6's versus XXX, id go with the XXX - but the cone area and Xmax alone warrant that you will be getting MUCH more sound than the XXX because of air displacement. everyone on the boards knows (or should know) that midbass is the MOST OFTEN overlooked part of a stereo. if you want a well rounded system with LOTS of 'kick me in the nuts' bass.

the adire koda 8's in sealed .6 cubic feet each up front are the speaker choice for you. and now you have the off chance to unload the XXX mids for what the group buy was selling them (180 to ngsm) and get the kodas for that same price - seeing as how these are still under regular price.
