Painting Vinyl?

Well, my doors are fiberglass and Vinyl (the door is made of a mesh fiberglass and covered in vinyl), i am thinking about glassing on the speakers because the OEM placement of the speakers ****. Should I paint over the Vinyl or leave it be?

vynl dye works. can get it at mostly any hobby shop.

could i just put primer on the vinyl and then paint it with vinyl paint?
