^ DupliKolor makes a plastic dye. Use it, and adhesion promoter. Krylon Fusion is garbage - fades in the sun, powders off, and is too thick. The plastic dye won't fill up the etchings in your plastic pieces. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Definately go with the Duplicolor plastic dye. I had to redo many of the interior peices in my '79 Camaro when I restored it (since they don't make reproduction parts yet) and used this on basically my whole interior and none of it has chipped. It stays flexible, so it won't break off like regular paint. Just make sure you clean everything really well (paint thinner works good) so that what you are painting is very clean and you'll be fine.

BTW: You can pick this stuff up locally at most part stores... I even saw it at Wal-mart recently.

You could argue about what brand is the best all night, it doesn't really matter, just make sure you do the process right.

Sand, sand, more sanding, clean, dry, spray adhesion promoter, primer, sand, clean, dry, more primer probably needed, more sanding, clean, dry, paint, wet sand, clear.

You get the picture...it's a lot of work to do right

Dude, check out PST, it's a place to order parts for yer camaro. we just finished building my buddies 80 z28, the t top seals are irreplacable. It took him 2 years to find them. it just turned classic so they will come out with a year one thing soon enough.

BTW, i'd use dye instead of paint, it will always come out better.

the only plastic i have painted is my engine cover and i used krylon spray from wal-mart and it turned out great. next step is to paint my gay *** plastic upper manifold to match. if only i could afford a machine shop to get a custom aluminum one made.

believe it or not i used rustolium spray paint but i prepared it right 2 layers of adhision promoter, sand , 2 layers of priemer (sanded in between), 3layers of paint, samding in between, and 2 coats of acrylic laquer,
