Painted my wheels

I was a little bored today and decided my webs needed a little bit of a restoration. I bought them with snow tires on them with barely any tread and they had a few scratches.

To any of you with webs that have scratches on the, 300 grit wet sanding is perfect. I sanded my lip and they are now scratch free and shinier.

Anyways, here are the pics. The wheels are in my warm garage for the night so I'll have pics of em on my car in the morning.

What I started with

Prepping

Primer

Then I applied really, really small layers of black. I stopped at 10 coats

After the clear coats this is what I ended up with

It was a good way to use up 7 hours of my dad today. The rims had some scratches on them but now look brand new:)

Thanks everyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I got some pictures this morning of them on the car. The car's a little dirty but oh well.

I like it man, good idea!

I'm surprised they came out that clean. After seeing the title I expected a crappy spraypaint job all uneven and whatnot, but you pulled it off nicely!

gz!
