i didnt read the whole thing but if you wet sanded with 300 that is a REALLY low grit to use. id go back over and do 1200 on the lip to shine them up.

x2, and then go over that with 2000 grit and buff with Meguiar's metal polish.

idk what steps you guys are really waiting for he sanded them a bit, cleaned, primed, painted, and hopefully cleared the hell outta them so they last more then a couple months

I'd just like to know WHAT paint and primer he used. If he used regular spray paint, it won't last longer than 2 months.

I painted the wheels on my Buick with spray paint, they lasted an entire Michigan winter no problem.
