hey everyone, if u didint no im getting a fiberglass box made and i was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions on paint, i have already decided i want to go the apint route adn paitn it proabbly yellow, but my question is what kidn of paint (spray or otherwise) is the best adn hwo do i get it to match my factory color? should i just use dupli-color...or have like sherwin williams mix a custom color...any1 have any experience with this?

i get all my paint from a dupont retailer, kinda expensive but the quality is outstanding, plus im using a gun to apply it all as well, spray cans will never match the quality of a gun

Yeah dude, if you want good paint, go to your local body shop and see if they have your color, If not go to a paint suplier, bring the color code of your car, and they will mix up the color for you. and please dont use dupli-color.

wow, that paint looks really good, how much do u think they would charge for a large size fiberglass box, because im not looking to get ripped off...

well to give you an idea, the paint i use costs me about $60 a pint which is half a qourt or just about half a liter, quite expensive, there are paints FAR more expensive then that as well but you get what you pay for

x2. you also need to prime it (if you decide to do it yourself) which costs about 40 a gal for your gun.

If you were to get it done professionally, I would guess around 200ish? It is just as easy to do it yourself, just avoid getting too close! runs=teh devil. but if it does decide to run, wet sand it down and throw another layer on there. Ramos or corsica can help you with step by step if you decided to do it yourself.

to match the factory paint go to your local paint shop or collision refinishing shop and they will have the color code for your car and they will be able to mix you up a batch.

for good quality NEVER USE A SPRAY CAN, use a spray gun.
