Hey i was wondering about the birth certificate for the P1001bd. Is the wattage posted on it vary directly with the gain. So basicly if the amp says 761 x1 @ 2 ohms but i only have the gain up to 3 or 5 will the amp still produce that amt. of Rms or no?

RMS Power at 2 Ohms - 1000 W x 1, it says 750 but it will put out about 1000 and will never go under 750.

even with the gain turned down it will produce 750?

obviously the lower you tune it the less it will put out, but that's not always the case with some amps.

The gain doesn't adjust the wattage output of the amp.It is supposed to be matched to the output voltage of the HU.

Capable of 750-1000 WATTS RMS @ 2 ohm and 1000-???? @ 1 ohm.

( I put ??? in there cuz I have seen some at just over 1000 and some up to 1500...

There is a P1000-1bd. Its one of RF's new 1ohm stable Punch amps.
