They are awesome subs! Sound amazing and get loud. Ive had 4 or so of them here and there. Awesome subs. Sold one to a friend that had a 12" RE SE and he built a to spec box for the ME and it was louder then the SE. They are worth the money. The components are amazing too.

The IDMAX and OZ ME are basically the same woofer. I've heard the IDMAX is a little more musical than the OZ is. I just purchased a ME 12, I'll let you know how it works out next week when I get it.

How does that make the sound different than a idmax?

the motor topology is different, its not the same speaker but its pretty close. the spiders (im sure), surround material, cone material, among other things are different. but it was modeled after the origional idmax they showed at CES.

i dont know if ID was their buildhouse, or if they pulled from ID and moved their manufacturers to china like ED did. i dont know the full details, but they are great sounding drivers, i had a pair of ozME12.4's.

I'm sorry I might have worded it wrong. It's designed to do the same thing, be efficient, sound good, and produce a long linear throw.

I can't wait to test it out. Should be here by monday.
