Overpowering SLC's ??

As long as its clean power, there is nothing wrong with 250 watts each...should be able to handle 300 each easy as long as the amps not clipping

I've never heard of 300 watts on the SLCs... the most I've read about was 200 watts.

I don't think your bass will be able to keep up with the SLCs with that much power.

well its a crunch amp .. (yea i know not the best) but it does the job .. and its 95$ or i can get the 100x4 @ 4ohm which is 300 x 2 @4ohm .. which is 72$ ..

I gave my SLCs about 120W and was very pleased. My dealer told me that once you get above about 150W you start to not notice a difference. Check out US Amps XT 1600.2. That will give you 200Wx2@4ohm.

well .. right now i have to save up in order to get a new amp. What are some companies that put out clean rated power? If i got the Crunch amp that does 100x4 @ 4ohm and bridged the connection .. i should be putting 300 x 2 @4ohm but since its "over" rated then it will probably be putting out 200 x 2 @4ohm right?

The Crunch GP (Ground Pounder) series would be a decent choice.... best amps that Crunch makes, IMO. Also look into Hifinics and Profile.

How much are you thinking you'll want to spend after a bit of saving? $100? $150? $250? Way more than that?
