If I switched the balance from zero (meaning L and R sides are equal), to R15 (meaning all the way to the right on my stereo, no sound from left side at all) - I am still only getting what's on the right speaker, just louder - correct? Meaning when I force right side only, it's not all of the sudden a mono mix, with the entire songs info coming out of the right side.
The reason I ask, is because yesterday I replaced a broken tweeter on the right side. I was playing "Dre Day" by Dr. Dre and I was at first concerned that the new, right side tweeter wasn't playing that constant high-hat that the left tweeter was playing. After forcing the balance all the way right, I still didn't hear it, but heard an occasional crash cymbal.
This is perfectly normal in a stereo mix correct? By changing the balance all the way right, you're actually only increasing the dB of the right channel, and eliminating the left channel completely.
