Overclocking/Underclocking

you shouldnt have to worry about warranty on cpu....

Why would you worry?

The main thing to consider is this-

In order to get a stable OC when jumping up is controlling the vCore.

Intel, for example, will tell you in the manual what the maximum recommended vCore setting is for that chip. Going any higher is NOT recommended for 24\7 usage. Running right at the maximum recommended setting will also degrade the life of the cpu but the cpu should still last several yrs even with a ~50% OC.

if you use an ASUS board with COPeX then you could be a 100% noob and still OC safely.

Yes and no. If you overclock/under clock and it ruins your cpu or gpu (what ever you are overclocking) then it all depends on if they can prove it was overclocked. Which for the most part they cant, unless you raise the voltage way to high and then its obvious to them it has been OC'd. Just be careful OCing and you will be fine.

So than yes it would void the warranty, if they can prove that you overclocked it?
