over pwoering subs

i have 2 12 audiobahns in small sealed boxes behind the seats in my truck and they sound fine.

Im just saying that if you spend $50 or $100 on an audiobahn sub then your buying the low grade audiobahn stuff like the 1000q's. Everything above that level has the ability to sound good... it's just the setups that people put them in that sound like crap. Everytime somebody says something bad about audiobahn I WILL BE HERE !!! HA HA HA!!!. They don't make the best subs in the world but they are definately worth buying.

Especially at Ebay prices!!!! I will take up for sudiobahn as well!! I had a Alum12Q in a small sealed enclosure and it sounded pretty decent! For the price i gave for it (180 new) i think it was worth that!!!! It really wanged and sound pretty decent doing it! I think audiobahn got a bad wrap for putting their name all over every tuner (ricer) magazie ever made and having people buy one and put it some shit *** prefab box. Then with the combo of them being in all the rice mags and ppl hearing some punk with some prefab bandpass rolling around with a couple cheap *** audiobahns they got a bad name! Bu from my experience audiobahns have the potential to sound pretty good and get **** loud!!!! Key: It is all in the install!! Just like every other sub in the world!!

Oh but anyhow you shold be fine with that amount of power! I mean most subs will take over RMS just watch the gains, dont clip and dont exceed max power of the sub!

The audiobahns should be fine with that amount of power. I plugged one of my 1005's X into the wall and it took about 5 mins for it to finnaly give out. I did that so that i could take it to my audio shop and get a 1005 Q.

To tell you the truth. I think an audiobahn could hold up to a wall outlet. Allthough it would have to be in a box of some sort to keep the cone from flying out of it.

Nope no box just plugged it into the wall and let it ride. I watched as the wire going to the voice coil glowed red then finally it just snapped. For all i know the voice coil was fine it's just the wire leading to the voice coil didn't make it. It also burned the spider fabric so that wasn't good either. The audiobahns have some good spiders and surrounds so the cone didn;t go flying through the roof like my kenwoods did while playing a 20 hz tone.
