Currently have a M-1000 Amp, at 4 ohms, so thats only 675 Rms x 1 @ 4ohms. The two alpines are rated at 500rms each. So that leaves me with just over 300 watts a sub. I can get a really good deal on a soundstream picasso series which is 1500W @ 1 ohm, so if i wired the subs two ohm id get 750w a sub which is little over powering....is that good for it? and would i notice a sound difference?

The subs will get louder if thats what yuor asking but running them over the rated specs always leds to a chance of blowing the subs

Power handling can all depend on the type of power and the box they are in. If you have **** electrical and a small box your probably gonna blow the subs

but if you have a good electircal and maybe a box thats built to spec youll probably be fine with pushing them a little over the top

Also what is your coils of the subs D2 i also have a pic 1700 for sale if you'd be interested in something a little bigger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
