How do you know how far is too far for subs to extend.. I had never really looked at my subs while playing em hard cuz my neighborhood is gay but with fireworks going off and shit no one could really complain.. anyways.. I have 2 12" w6's and they were really stretching.. is there a limit i should keep them at.. like how do you know when to turn it down to stop from doing damage.. They sounded clean and fine no distortion just really got out there far.. I brought this up cuz i was on youtube and someone was saying they overextended their subs and stretched the vc...? I searched with no prevail.. any insight.. They are powered with 1000 rated watts but rockford t1000.1bd's are underrated so i guesstimate about 1100ish Never even thought about it before thanks guys/gals

You will almost NEVER see that much power form the amp playing music, to start with. It is rated at that with a tone.

You would have to figure out what the sub parameters are and somehow measure the excursion to find out if you are over-driving them.

oh everything is set fine I was just wondering volume wise.. is there a limit on how loud i should turn it up? Like no distortion occurs just the thought of being able to hurt the subs by playing em loud like they should be is frightening.. lol..
