Why even bother cutting the wire if you're not going to actually run a fuse in it...

well i guess a penny would melt before the wire? i just remember our science teaacher in 8th grade melted a penny with a torch LOL but at that temp the insulation would be long gone off the wire and you'd be up in flames... not too safe

I guess if you use a penny you save .99 on a fuse.... I still can't get over the fact they talk about the Jackhammer hitting 150db (when it didn't), and using money for fuses all in one thread, it's like a stupid-fest or something. This is a guy that put a Memphis system in a battery powered kid's car. (Think duct-tape not fiberglass)
