Lol...I would enjoy hitting it with a large, dense piece of metal!

Whatchu talkin bout? brah , get a pioneer SX series. any of them from 20 WPC to the bad boy SX-1980 are pure sex!! And if you enjoy vinyl they have one of the cleanest phono preamps known to man.But realistically, Craigslist nga. I have gotten some deals you wouldn't believe, and some speakers that couldn't be beat by 95% of PE's offerings. Vintage audio is all that it is cracked up to be, and more. Start off with a pair of Klipsch KG4's/Large Advents/Pioneer HPM-100's and grab yourself a silver-faced MCS receiver. Shouldn't run you over $300 for the speakers and receiver. It will sound VERY nice, get loud, and look even better.
I have had an SX-525 and a Sansui 9900Z. I much prefer the looks and especially the sound of my MCS 3253!Whatchu talkin bout? brah ' date=' get a pioneer SX series. any of them from 20 WPC to the bad boy SX-1980 are pure s[i']e[/i]x!! Or if you really wanna wake up the dead , find a sansui g33000
i loved mine ' date=' but i was 12 years old and dumb. when i got it the protection fuses were blown , i soldered jumper wires in place of the fuses and one day my dad brought home some bose 151's i believe. he wanted to use them in his big rig. i hooked them up and one had tinsel leads that were touching and i fried a channel in it. :[[/quote']

Happens to the best of us...
I constantly "test" the durability of my amps, running all of them at as low as 2ohms stereo...never even hurt one of them! Technics, Sansui, MCS, even Korean made Pontus...never damaged a home audio amp in my life!
Damaged (but didn't blow) a couple woofers...never blew a home audio speaker either...even ran a 25wrms transducer off a 275wrms plate amp! Also ran some 60wrms Technics off 175wpc. Although I blame that on their underrated speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
