R.I.P. Gossamer!!
Which generation would that be? For various reasons my driver's license still shows my parents' address and as a result my voter registration information requires that I vote at the same polling location that my folks do.You know we (I) had this same exact debate 2-3 years ago (whenever the war started) all the way up through the Kerry election on this forum. What I find is ironic is that when I argued against the war almost everyone else on this forum was for it. So now that things aren't going quite so well people come on here and blast the President. F U and your pusssy comments now. When the war started and the election was going on where were you? When it came time to vote against this prick, did you? It's easy to criticize the President now and say geez we shouldn't have done that. But you asswholes weren't around when it came time to actually make a differnence. After the election I actually stopped caring and become much less passionate about this isssue because my generation didn't "Rock the vote" or didn't "vote or die", they stayed at home and watched South Park. So before you start spewing anti-war comments on here, maybe you should man up and realize what you could have done.
Asswholes!
My dad believes that it is not only a right of every American at or above age 18 to vote but it is also a responsibility to take part in the democratic process. (agree with this or don't - but it is how I was raised)
Since our voter registration requires we vote at the same location all Dad has to do is look to see if my signature is above my name when he goes to sign for his (me, my mom, Dad, and my dad's mom are all next to each other on the voter rolls). If my signature isn't there to indicate that I have been there to vote I will quickly get a call once he has placed his vote(s) to ask why I haven't yet. For some of us voting isn't an option! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Edit: for the record I voted for Bush twice - and proudly so. For all those crowing about the 'lies' regarding WMDs....where were all of you when Bill Clinton was telling the American public the same thing during his tenure at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? We know Saddam had 'em - he USED them...against his own people. What in the world makes you think if he would use chemical and biological weaponry against his own populace that he would hesitate for a single moment to use them against the "infidels" of the West?!?
