if your that percautious do you have a fuse by the amp? if not you should, if you do just pull the fuse.

Hence why I rolled my eyes. Some people just go the quick route w/o caring.. but I'd rather spend 5 more mins un-hooking my battery to make sure everything is ok.

Yeah same with me...I'll guess I'll just connect it tomorrow since I dont have the wrench with me to disconnect the bolt from the battery.

you dont have to disconnect from battery if you have an inline fuse, just pull the fuse it has the same effect.
