yes it will work on the 2500d and the 1200d and anyother orion amp with a 1/8" plug.

Is there any way to flush mount that bass knob or does it have to be screwed in under the dash?

as long as the input for the amp has a 1/8" mini mono plug then yes (like a haed phone jack plug)

and yes they provide the hardware for flush mount also, and instructaions to do it.

the 2500ds dont have the phone jack plug type thingy, they have the pin plug like u plug in headphones.. so those wont work for the chrome 2500ds?
