orion hcca or mtx 9500?

Depends on your budget and preference. The orion will get really loud but is power hungry for its 2k rms rating (assuming its the newer one). The 9500 is a great all around sub, will get plenty loud, and is easier to power on only 1k rms. For comps, a larger budget for a 2k watt amp, and to be the loudest kid on the block I'd go with the HCCA. For a lighter build (on your wallet and the electrical in your car) I'd go for the 9500.

well i have 1500 watts to work with which do you think will be most impressive on an audiopipe ap1500d? i also want build quality as well and i know the orions are built to take a beating. oh and will the mtx take 1500-2k?

mtx without a doubt those 9500's slammm nice the only time i would get that orion is if i had 2-2500k running to it. but if u plan on upgrading your electical and amp i would go with the orion. but as of now i would deffently pick the mtx 9500 u will not be disapointed

Where can u get a 15in hcca for 190? If there is more please do tell. I used to have a 12in hcca being fed 1k rms and it sounded fantastic, not lacking like one would think. Orion has always been my fav. Check their website for their "subwoofer challenge", it shows them beating every major brands best sub.

I have had both in multiple sizes the power handling ability is about the same both subs get loud on the same watts with ever one is cheaper. But the hcca is reconable but also has a problem with coil rub if mounted side ways and the pole the voice coil sits on shifts it says in the owner manual to mount sub facing up. In the end though if you ran fifteen hundred watts the subs will perform very similar.

I bought three hccas off chicago craigslist for 200 they dropped in resell price in illinois if you throw a rock out the window you'll probably hit a car powering a hcca with a lanzar vibe amp or a quatum audio it's hillarious.

I have ran a pair of 15" HCCA's for a while and dude BUY THEM. I ran them with like 1100 a piece for a while and they slammed but once you get a little more power on them WHHHHOOOOAAAA. These boys jam no doubt.

It's the silver cone model. Will there me much difference on output? My other alpha isLOUD
the new big boys with the screen around the outside of the basket guarding the coils? not the older ones that say hcca 1200 competition on the magnet right? either way good deal but those new ones are incredible. idc what sub you have...unless it was made by jesus himself this one is better. lol
