Hey all, currently have an Orion second generation 225 HCCA amp running two channels. What i was wondering is if you guys think i should sell it and replace it with a new amp. I was considering buying the Eclipse SW7124DVC-T2 sub which is 12" with a max power handling of 400 watts RMS. It is a DVC sub running at 2 ohms per coil. Want i want to know is how to get my Orion amp to perform at 1 ohm on a two owm per coil sub. if this is even possibble...

apparently this amp is capable of the putting out 400 W RMS at 1 ohm...

suggestions?

the sub will run to .5 ohms. i have a 225r and love it. keep it, dont get rid of it, cherish it

The sub is dual 2 ohm which means it can't be wired to .5 ohms! 1 or 4 is your choices with that single sub. To get 1 ohm just wire all the positives together and the same thing with negatives

true, it wont run that sub at .5 ohm but the sub can be wired to 1 ohm, i was just saying it is capable of a .5 ohm load, sorry for the confusion
