ORION HCCA 12D - Repaired and updated. Do I go with new specs?

I had a 1998 or 1999 Orion HCCA 12D with the smooth inverted dust cap. I blew a voice coil a long time ago and got it repaired. Well it came back a 2000 year model (with Orion in raised textured lettering). I had been using my ORIGINAL manual for the specs...but I just found that the numbers Orion gives on the 2000 model have changed.

IIRC, when they repaired it they said the only thing that remains the same is the basket and magnet. So would my sub conform to the 2000 year specs as I speculate? I don't believe that basket or magnet changed between the model years as they have the same displacement.

This sub has been sitting around without a box for a long time now so I want to build something to replace my Ground Zero 10" with. I am thinking about going 2.5 cu/ft tuned to 30hz. Anyone have any successfull boxes for these beasts?

Here are a few specs that changed with the old model being listed first

RE 1.25/1.1

Sensitivity 96/94.09

Fs 35/37.3

Qms 5.6/4.51

Qes .47/.40

Qts .44/.368

BL 9.7/10.76

Vas 1.45/1.14

XMAX 16/15.2

Can anyone tell me if these changes should affect the box size? Orion suggest the same size box for both models which seems a tad strange to me.
