Orion blows......literally

Funny to see how things change, lol.
Mark said the only company he'd compare Orion to is Boss/Pyramid...lol

Well, if ya don't know how to use the 2500d... its a big paperweight. They blow way too easy.

The h2's were just flat out garbage...

The 1200d is definitely a solid amp, though.

my 2500D has been bullet proof, and I have been sending it more than reccomended signal voltage
The 2500d input stage blows up with too much voltage, thats just how that goes.

Are you *actually* sending more voltage than your supposed to... as in, have you actually measured it?

number 1 killer of any amp is a bad electrical system in the car. if it doesnt get the amp it can get the speakers. the bigger the system/amp the more power it needs to do its job correctly.

running an 5v HU and linedriver, averaging 6+ volts by the time it makes it all the way back to the amp

So, after dealing with a bunch of crap for the past couple of months, i'm finally releasing my frustration with orion on this board. Every one of my friends who runs orion anything has blown something up. EVERYONE. Amps and subs, doesn't matter. Frankly, it's getting ridiculous. Here's a list of all the shit that has broke
1) Buddies 15" H2 blows with a 1200d on it. Normal play in a normal box. Supposedly he was "clipping" it. But if he was, it was minimal

2) The same friend blows ANOTHER H2 after playing music on it with a 2500d. Not even a full 2500 RMS because of his weak electrical system.

2) Another friend's 15" H2, his surround detached from the cone right out of the box. He powered it with an older orion xtr 1000. Half the rated power

3) ANOTHER friend's 12" H2, fried the coil by playing it for a f*cking millisecond with just one coil hooked up. I don't get it.

4) Buddies 2500d just up and craps out on him. He's had it for less than 2 months (if i remember correctly). RCA input issues

5) A while ago a friend of mine (and fellow MECA competitor) toasted a 15" H2 after playing it for about a minute running off a 2500d. The sub wasn't even getting a full 2500 RMS because of current issues, impedence rise, etc.

6) ANOTHER friend breaks BOTH of his 2500d's because of shitty *** RCA connections

7) Another aquaintance blew an H2 as well.

I know there is more, i'll add to this list later. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Quite frankly, i don't know why SOME of my friends still run orion after all of the shit they have gone through. They'll get one thing fixed and something else will break. For a company like Orion, these kind of things should not be expected. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif [/rant]
i said it before and ill say it again stick with powerbass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
