I think he's saying he could either wire both to 1 instead of 4, which is correct.
I'm betting there's a crossover set somewhere it shouldn't be...or something with the input gain...

you can wire both the subs up. just connect them outside the boxes and then wire to amp. you dont need both sets of speaker terminals.

as far as setting the amp gain and lpf, i have my doubts that you know how to do it properly

usually it is 2 + on one side and 2 - on the other side, so you may have it wired to both +s or both -s

That is wiring them in parallel. how are they wired inside the box? Parallel or series? Do you want a final load of 4 or 1 ohm from the subs? 4 Im guessing?

if you wire them correctly then yes. this is just a sketch. i wasnt going for an ohm load, just to show you how to wire them outside the box

Inside they wired in series to give me 8 ohm load from each sub to the amp that wAy the amp would see 4 ohms giving me 1200 watts

Then yes, wiring the speakers like that picture would be the right way to wire it for a 4 ohm load.
