Well I finally got it in the mail today and hooked it up to only one of re se's( the amp was missing speaker screws and I could only find 2) anyways I go into my sub box and rewire the subs to 8 ohms apiece. So the amp could see a 4 ohm load and give me 1200 watts but even with only one sub hooked if the amp barley move the it? This baffles me because even with jus one sub connected shouldn't the amp be putting power out at it's 4 ohm stats(1200. Watts) but no way because these subs are only 600 watts apiece. Anybody got any idea what could be the problem? Before this amp I had a audiopepe 15001d and I had no probe like this

Sorry I'm quite sleepy right now and I'm typing this on my iPhone dude but anyway it's a Orion 2500d it's got two speaker outputs and it does 1200 watts rms at 4 ohms .......I have two 4ohm dual voice coil re se 12's .... Only one is connected now. Also wiring both together isn't an option because both subs are in separate chambers

That doesn't help me at all I know to wire them . I'm saying I have it wire to 8 ohms so the amp will 4 ohms correct? No way I wire these to one ohm. That's to much power . The way I have it wired right now (8 ohms) the amp doesn't seem to produce that power

wtf? get a dmm and hook it up to the end of the speaker wires and check the resistance there first...

They're D4s, correct? Series the coils, parallel the drivers...4 ohm combined impedance.

I don't know why you said you can only hook up one, if you knew that you only need one set of terminals.

I thought since it has to speaker output that they were wired in parallel inside the amp so me wiring the one sub to 8 ohms would actually make the amp see a 4 ohm load or am I missing something there will be two subs connected tommorrow but I'm trying to understand why it's barley moving now.

Look I hav a daul sub setup ... But amp only came with one pair of screws I'm goin to find another pair tommorrow. But for today I connected one because I can't wire the subs together they are in different chambers and cannot be wired together.

im very confused here, you said you have only one d4 sub hooked up. But then reference 1 ohm, when 1 d4 sub cannot be wired to 1 ohm...
I think he's saying he could either wire both to 1 instead of 4, which is correct.

I'm betting there's a crossover set somewhere it shouldn't be...or something with the input gain...
