I have two 275SX amps that I have run for ten years. I love them. Best amps ever. They have been running hard at 2ohms for that long and only one small problem, until now. I recently blew both of them at the exact same time and in the same place. There are two metal "rods" that run down the side of each amp board. They have about 7 screws in them each which mounts it to the top of the inside of the amp. These metal rods then have a spongy tape between it and the electronic parts. There are 13 of these electric parts on each side and each of them have three small connectors to the main board. It is these electronic pieces and connectors that fried. About four of them on each amp fried each right next to eachother. Anyone know what would have caused this? My third amp was wired with these amps and is just fine. Also I can have them repaired for $75 each. Do you think it is worth it? Again I love Orion amps and am suprised they have lasted this long. Thanks for the help.
