Hi Folks,

I have a set of Rainbow SLC 265 components rated at 100w rms and 150w max, 4Ohm. I have the opportunity to pick up the Orion 6002 amp for very cheap and was wondering if that would be too much for the Rainbows? It's rated at 150w rms @ 4Ohm. Is thing going to work or is it too much? Should I be looking at something like the Orion 4002 instead? It's rated at 100w rms @ 4Ohm. Thanks for the help.

I would go with orion6002 i mean you can always turn it down its always good to have more power then what you need in my opinion. You can never have to much power bcause you can always turn it down.

Ive seen so many amps done this way over the years. Especially ones that had the Molex plugs and a couple others

Yes, they do. As for the Taramps remote control, it is for use with the EQ they sell, not as a remote bass knob. They are not very sophisticated...
