But on a side note I would own no dei stereo related product. Ever. I agree they are crap regardless of the topology.

I will stick to their alarms and remote starts and by-pass modules though.

I did figure out what my problem was with the Class D output section on my 25 to Life Power 1000 though. I suffered from gain drift on the sub channel. I had initially tuned it to deliver 36 volts with a 50 Hz test tone to give me 650 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. I rechecked it after I noticed my sub was not sounding right, and it was delivering close to 45 volts with the same test tone! The irony is that I managed to get my problem resolved just as I am getting ready to remove that amp from my Mustang....

Thats weird. But anything is possible on mass produced electronics.

My brother loved his power 1000 and never had any problems with it, but again Rockford isnt the same company either. (not hating just saying...) Problem was the amp was the size of a suitcase.
