What size fuse should I run with this, I was told 250. Should I also run a second battery I've heard they are kinda power hungry and run hot easily without enough power. I was thinking of spicing the 2 4awg power wires into 1 0/1awg and hit shrink with rubberize elec tape.

Any other advice about the amp would be great.

I'm going to be running it at 4ohms

Thanks

i dont know what u wana do lol. just run 1/0 for the amp put a 250 fuse under your hood , and if your gona run it at 4 ohms u should b good with the 1/0 and big 3 done in 1/0. if your voltage is under 12.6 or so then get another battery.

Amplifier puts out 1200RMS at 4ohm. You should be fine with the big three and proper sized cables. Check your voltage drop, that will dictate whether or not you need more charging system upgrades.

I use a single run of 1/0 into a fuse block and then run two short runs of 4G to the amp. No need to run 1/0 to it, especially if you are planning on running at 4ohm.

Where in MN are you? You should join the Minnesota's Loudest forum and be up to date on all the show in our area.

Plus you can see what these amplifiers are capable of if you catch me at a show :p

I'm in the Twin Cities. I went on the Minnesota's Loudest site, but wasn't much for members or up to date posts.

Never thought about running the 4g through fuse block lol that will work better.

I have 0/1 ran for power and ground to the rear and will have 0/1 off the alt shorty. When I get some better subs I will be pushing the amp harder.

Yeah it's slowed way down after this last show. Though some big rebuilds will be popping up soon. I'll be taking part in two pretty large builds over winter. Should be fun.

Make sure you have both power and grounds connected, do not just do one set as this will f up the amp. Secondly I fused mine at 2(100amp) fuses so thats 200 amps. And i ran at 1 ohm. I had 0 gauge to the back battery(165ah) and 4 runs of 4 gauge (2 sets) that went to the battery. My voltage was stable on stock alt and big 3. Would drop to 12's but thats expected. Mine never got that hot to be honest, and if your running at 4 ohms you should have no problems. Its a beast of an amp.
