Orion 2500d vs. Opt2000d

the orion alllll dayyyyy lonnnnng
the lanzar sucks more current to do less power, hrm...
85% at full power 1/2 ohm and 79% at 1/3 power is ******* current?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

The 1600w/1400w ratings are at 12.5V. It's 1900+ at 1/2 ohm,

1600@1 at 14.4v.

Either one would do a good job, but if you're going for all out SPL I think the Orion would be the obvious choice.

How does it compare to the opti 4000d?

Well right now i have 2 lanzar 1200d amps, and was going to sell them an get an opti2000d, but each amp can put out 1200 watts rms, so should i just stay with my 2 lanzar amps or get the opti? ANd i can get the opti for $300 plus warranty

idk, you tell us..youre the one saying the orion is better alllllll dayyyyyyyy loooooooong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

have you ever even messed with the 2000? just a Q?

power at 1khz on a resistive load? lol

That really doesn't prove anything.

On that note... the opti 4000 is only .3 louder than the orion, at both 12v and 16v... and it sucks a hell of alot more current to do its power. The orion will burp on a 40 amp fuse easily at 1 ohm, the opti smoked a 50.... on 16v the orion easily burps a 50 and gains a db... the 4000 smokes 100 amps of fuse and gains a db, still being .3 ahead.

This being in a car, testing @ 1 ohm with a rise to approx 2.5... I didn't drop the opti down to .5 because it was already ****** too much current.

1700 watts with a resistive 1 ohm load is weak... the orion with 14.4v will do double that, literally.
