Hey Loyd, wanna test one of my SAZ-1500Ds under 0.5 ohms? I need to get a date and place for your woofer round up so I can come by with a pair of em to see what happens -- hopefully I can make it. Hollis tells me they run cool at 0.5 ohms and I am curious about their limitations.

Im really sorry to hear that the 20.1's arent working for you. There is some issue you havent uncovered. Has to be. I have ran both amps for competition and tested them at every ohm load you could imagine. While I will admit the Orions are very impressive and strong amps, I got rid of the Orions in exchange for 20.1s and I stayed with 20.1's for a reason. Wish I could help more.

yeah ive been gettin a few tips and pointers from some guys, there are 2 problems in my install, voltage and impedence rise. that is what's killing me greatly. and both will be fixed soon. rebuild coming this weekend, a lil bit of a smaller box than what i'm using now, hopefully it will cure some problems.

and just to make sure im measuring the power correctly..

with the DMM put the +/- leads on the speaker wires...

with the clampmeter, clamp around 1 of the wires (ie: i have 2 runs of 8awg per sub, just clamp it around ONE of the 2 wires...)

am i doin this right?
