Orion 2500d info?

I have 3 2500ds and will be getting my 4th really soon. Has anyone ever done a bench test for these, have any numbers? Also does anybody know the current draw on these so I can figure out what I will need to do for my electrical. Thanks

I Have,

Good amps. Tested @ 3000w @1ohm before the onset of clipping on an active load@ 14v

1800w @2ohms active before clipping @14v

Oh I forgot,

Sorry I never measured current draw, but they seem o.k as far as eficiency goes. Also I used a scope and a fluke clamp and dmm for testing.

On a side note, the one I tested seemed to prefer high voltage decks. I'm not saying that u cant run the amp on a low voltage deck just need to up the gain.

yeah my gain is about 65-70 percent up.

i noticed the same thing. I was told that it does not like those 8 volt decks, ex eclipse. I can neither confirm or deny that fact though. I find that those amps are very efficient too, and take alot of abuse.

im not a professional on these amps but i had one and it was absolutely awesome. it was my first system i didnt know what i was doing but i had to orion h2 12's d2 ran the amp at 1/2 ohm and it pulled a lot of power but got loud as hell it did cut out from the current draw being to much

I'm having that same **** problem.

im guessing you guys dont have the eletrical to handle this amp? if thats the case its not the amps fault
