it's always smart to fuse a power wire.....incase something goes bang....it gives you a better chance of that 'bang' only making it to that fuse and not the amp itself saving you worries and anger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

 
power divided by voltage will tell you your current or amperage. in other words if you have a 1200 watt amp and you have a 12v power supply 1200/12= 100 meaning that there should be 100amps of current on that line so a 100 amp fuse is needed so that if the current peaks over that it will blow the fuse and stop current from flowing to any other spots of that circuit.
