well i am not going to repair it myself b/c i don't have my sodering stuff over here while i am going to school lol hell i don't even have a torques driver to call my own lol! goign away to school is *****! lol!

basically i need to get the 8 blown mosfets then the shop will sodder them for me!

b/c i need to know what to buy to fix it!

look on the other side of the board... it is that easy?

well i jsut got in contact with a shop and they had this to say about the amp

"The mosfets you need are IRF3205. You can buy them anywhere you can buy parts made by International Rectifier usually. In Canada, try Future Electronics.

Problem is, replacing the mosfets likely won't do you any good. There are likely many other bad parts in the amp. The mosfets are massively rugged and only a dead short somewhere else in the amp, like a blown output mosfet, or a transformer winding short would cause them to blow, abuse alone usually won't do it. It will likely just go back up in smoke instantly when you turn it on after replacing the mosfets. This is because there is FAR more to amp repair than just replacing mosfets, you have driver transistors, gate resistors, control IC's etc that all typically fail when the mosfets fail and will also need to be replaced, in addition to whatever caused it to blow the mosfets in the first place will need to be repaired as well. You are better off putting this amp in the closet and buying a newer model amp, like the Sundown SAE-1000D or for more kick you can get a Sundown SAZ-1500D or SAE-3000D. The Sundown amps are just as good if not better than that old Orion amp. The Sundown amps, especially the SAE-1000D and SAZ-1500D are simply improved versions of the same design that is used in your Orion 1200D with more parts for more power. Yes, the Sundown SAE-1000D will likely make just as much power as your Orion 1200D did, the SAZ-1500D will make almost double the power of your Orion 1200D."

so with that i close this thread and toss the amp! lol! thanks guys!
