the se's arent loud on the meter....they sound good though.

id go for a pair of sx's

Problem with a pair of SX 12''s is I'm not sure I want to run my amp at .5 ohm, even though I hear from quite a few they can be run at .5 daily.

I thought about a single 18SX, but that's 6.5 cubes! Huge box! Considering it though.

Will a 15SX sound decent? Most people say their SQ is not good, but people also say that about RE8s and I love how mine sound.

The sound, and your liking to it, of the SX is all going to be based on what you've heard. I think it sounds better than a lot of low end subs that you can pick up at say BB or CC, but compared to the higher end subs I've owned the SQ is horrible. So, meh, take that for what you can. It is a very loud driver non-the-less.

I haven't heard many woofers, and out of the ones I have heard I think my 4 8''s sound the best. Me and a friend (the owner of the 2 12'' type r) both agree that the 8''s sound better, so nobody better reccomend a **** type r.

well my 2 12" memphis power reference up against 2 12" SE both in 4cuft ported boxes side by side says Im right. Since a 15" SX in the same size box ported is louder than my PRs and my PRs totally killed the SEs in loudness I'll take my expierience over someones word who i dont even know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Now if we were talking SQ the SE wins hands down but they were not nearly as loud as my PRs with more than twice the wattage going to them.

see I wouldnt of made the statement unless I compared them and I dont consider subs running almost 1500 watts not touching subs running 600 watts loud subs. now if you sprinkle it with the special TCAB SPL dust the pair might get as loud as 1 memphis sub.
