which 15 for sq-sql?

since i'm half deaf, i'm searching for a better sounding 15 or twelves than an sx...

I do not have components so i really want a great sounding sub that has the potential to get loud as well as has good low end... covers all notes with accuracy as i listen to a lot of rock... 1200 watts at 1 ohm to work with

spending limit = 300 shipped max...

either one (2) 15's or two twelves...

I was thinking 2 16Kv.2's or maybe?

a single Ov.2 15?

mtx8500 15?

I dont suppose there's any point trying to talk you into upgrading from the stock front speakers, which play like 90% of the audible spectrum, rather than the aftermarket sub you already have, is there?

you think upgrading my 4x6's and 6x9's is worth it? I can't get components because i don't want to fiberglass... nor pay a couple hundred for custom...

Upgrading the front speakers, and amping them, is a huge improvement. Id do that if I were you, especially if you already have a sub. Change the sub out later after the front is taken care of, if you are still unhappy with it.

Otherwise yeah, a used xxx or Brahma would work great. IDMax, Oz Matrix Elites, etc etc. Alot of top notch woofers out there today.

Soundsplinter rlp dual 4, give it 600 watts and rest your amp, will still get loud in around 2.1 sealed and sounds great, less than 300 shipped
