I decided to hook up my orion 1200d to my 12 RL-p. Its wired at 2 ohms. Should be around 700watts. Well for some reason I'm not getting much output. I'm almost postive everything is set right. I have to turn the gain to almost 3/4s up just to get decent output. I'm afraid to do that, as with a few other amps I've owned I've never turned the gain up past 1/4-1/2. Anyone with this amp have any suggestions?

its only going to be hooked up for around a week or so. Until the new 15 RL-p d2 arrives. It's in a sealed enclosure. Not sure if the enclosure is all that great either. But I had my other amp hooked up, it hit pretty nice.

IIRC the 1200d (if its the same as the directed d1200, which i think it is) put out like 600w rms @ 1 ohm, not 2.
the 1200D is an older model and puts out 1200 watts at 1 ohm.

set your gain using the gain setting tutorial

it's all right to turn up your gain if you need to, to match the input signal
