ordered one of these

If you're after the buzz-word woofer of the day these woofers may be your best bet. $99 shipped for a 3" coil subwoofer. If the latter two items are all you are concerned about (price and the ID of the coil) are all you are concerned about these may be a viable option. Has anyone seen any TermLab or overall competition results from these yet? Setting the bar at whatever height a pair of Obsidian Audio 12's managed a 154.9 dB two years ago during SBN. What have these woofers managed so far?
was that on burp?

i was on their website and they are not shipping 12's or 15's until June. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif
I hope the threatcons will come out sooner and at a decent price.

My only concern with the threatcon2 15" is the unusualy high Fs at 38hz. What's up with that?
Eh fs is taken with the sub free air. What really matters is the f3 (dont ask me how to calculate I just learned this from a friend when I asked) and that has to be calculated and changes from car to car depending on cabin gain. AKA dont matta all that much! lol all about the install as long as its reasonable.

Well maybe it matters a little but that isnt too unreasonable of a fs IMO

Yes. Additionally they did a 153.8 on music. What have these woofers managed on either (burp or music)? I'm not finding any results.
Im not impressed on burps and not everybody competes or tries to hit 150db, how many wattage was pushing those obsidians to hit 153.8? A lot of people just want some bass that will not break the bank and the problem i see on obsidian they are never in stock so if you ever need to replace one you have to wait for months

Interesting perspective on loudness of systems. So you don't care how loud a loudspeaker driver system can get? If you don't care about how far you can push a system/driver then why use a 3" coil driver? Quickly settle for a 1" coil instead. Those are much more affordable.

Drop-in's and re-cone service is open during normal business hours with plenty of parts. Replacement is not an issue. We do not and can not control the rate at which people buy our products. Yes people buy them very quickly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
