Optima Yellow Top

Ok, so I bought me a *Brand New* Optima Yellow top battery at Advanced Auto Parts, I paid $180.00 taxes + core included. Did I make out good?

ALSO, I am looking for Chrome or Polished Battery clamps (Positive and Negative obviously) digital o non digital or non dogotal is fone, Prefferably Rockford Fosagate (I have seen them before, cant find them any longer)....If not RF then any decent Brand would do. Chance are its a g34. I dont believe the g31's are sold in stores. Also, if it has side posts its not a g31.

i just got one too

The size for honda's/Acura's is the 51R

for civics i believe only the 51R fit, someone in the tsx community tried out the D35 (1inch wider) and got it to fit into an acura tsx; which is why i got a D35 as opposed to the 51R

also there was a recall with the 51r, they went dead right after it hit a year, thats why there discontinued. i have an rsx, so i heard a g34 fits in the tray perfectly, and the tie down fits tightly over the battery. so might have to look into that.

Find the cheapest one online. I found one on sonicelectronix.com and printed it off, took it to advanced and they price matched it. It came out cheaper because I didn't have to pay shipping plus I had them right away.

i just bought a red top battery.....because thats all they had at the time...rode home with the system up.....next day my battery was dead.....i found out the red top isn't ment to for car audio stuff.....it accually voids the warranty.....im going to buy the yellow tonight....are they really worth it?

Your battery did not die from playing your system on the ride home. Red tops just arent deep cycle batteries. They are meant to be used as underhood batteries for starting purposes. There's a lot of people that use redtops.

Ok....I just went outside and The model I have id D51R...is that any good?..I also did not order it, It was actually in stock!
