just wondering are optima yellowtops really that much better interms of performance compared to the stock battery? (besides the deep cycle aspect)

also i heard that the kinetik batteries are more efficient and better for your electrical system while producing more clean steady power, is this true?

what are the best batteries in terms of performance while the car is running?

Lately alot of people are choosing the optima G31 over kinetik batteries. And in relationship to a stock battery, I believe enven the smallest yellowtop has more CCA's and CA's than a stock battery, and the Red Top, is far supperior (as far as a starting battery) to a stock battery.

I have a optima yellow top group 31T in the back and its awesome. When the car isnt cranked and playing music it stayed above 12.3 volts for an hour and a half. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

why are they choosing the optima over the kinetik?

and so if i do get a optima yellowtop the performance would be worth the 150 bucks?

i got mine for 100 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I

I have been hearing bad things about kinetik's lately. Alot of people are selling theirs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

You dont buy a deep cycle for CCA or CA.
You buy it so it is hard to kill. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

very...

I played my system for probably an hour and a half at ~3/4 level, bass heavy tracks. the MD2 had to of been ******* 30-40a. The truck cranked afterwards with out hesitation.

If I had done that with my stock battery I would have had to of been jumped and I would only know that beause the volume of the stereo would have shown a noticablle decrease...and I wouldnt have touched everything.

Optima's are also sealed. Mount them upside down and they wont flinch a bit. Mount it upside down under your seat and keep the cabbin sealed and you will still be living and no stains on your floor. Try that with even a conventional deep cycle.

The fact that Optima Yellow Tops also have awsome CCA and CA on top of their excelent RC and you can drain them to 8v, charge them back up to 13 and be good to go makes them, IMO, some of the best all around batteries on the market.

Do you need a yellow top if you are not compeating with the car off? No. A Red top or other conventional battery would actually suit your needs better. Deep cycles do not respond to voltage swings and quick current draws as quickly as conventional batteries. If you arent going to be compeating or if you are allowed multiple batteries in your class I would reccomend looking elsewhere. Otherwise I will reccomend Optima Yellow Top's whole heartedly...Blue if you are really serious.
