Optima G31's vs D31's

Ive always thought that i had a pretty good knowledge of the optima line.....but i was looking at a site that sold optimas and it kind of threw me off........I know that they make G31's but the site sold D31's....I kinda threw me off so if anyone knows It would be helpful.

the g31's are for transfer trucks and such...there's a g31a and a g31t, not sure what the differences are but i know that there's different kinds of g31

Meaning it is a Group31 size battery.

Optima models are named D31a and D31t, these are their model names for GROUP 31 size batteries.

So, D31 batteries are Group31 sized batteries.

One has the SAE, regular standard battery post... and the other has the 3/8" Stud.
