Opinion question: double baffling

For an 18" subwoofer (18.25" actually, 16.75" mounting hole), do yall think a double baffle is necessary for a 20"x20" baffle? true, i guess i could've looked up the structural specs for MDF and calculated all the shear/normal stresses //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I dunno if i know how to convert sub excursion V. wattage into a force load though
