opinion on ebay

I was wondering what everyone thought of buying car audio on ebay...I don't know how secure it is, but the prices seem so much cheaper on ebay than they do anywhere else...why is this?

bought my HU on ebay, worked out fine. Wouldn't buy refurbished or used though- too much of a chance for DOA's with no recourse for my taste- I'm not a gambler and have a difficult time trusting people on the internet selling electronics.

just make sure you read everything in their descriptions and check their feedback......feedback is key to a good buyer and seller......read what people that bought something from them has said....thats what i go off of...

Yeah I did buy some stuff for once off the internet and got burned. I will stick to local shops and pay the extra dough. It so far has saved me money in the long run and not to mention time.

I have bought many items from ebay and have never had any problem with any of them. Be sure you read the description completely and be sure to check for feedback. You might also want to see if any warranty is offered with the product you are purchasing. You will be able to save a lot of money shopping on ebay, just be sure to read everything .

ive spent thousands on ebay on car audio alone. i have never had a problem, but i did a lot of reading before i made any purchases. i also use paypal for the added security.

Read the sellers feedback to get an idea of what kinda person you could be dealing with. Check for complaints and how other orders went. Always try and stick with paypal if you can. Look for little things making sure they have said the item is brand new or they know for sure it works. One little thing you miss could lead into just blowing your money on something that doesn't work if you don't look into it enough or ask the seller questions. Its the internet, just be aware of everything your doing.

Hell yeah I buy from, both ebay and local shops. ebay is way cheaper on amps! Local shops have good deals on subs and decks. plus shipping gets exspensive on subs any ways.

the only thing u dont want to do is get into crappy brands....other than that...ebay is on my good list lol

authorized internet dealers>local dealers....unless I do a good job making buddies with the salesman or know an employee.
