Ok, I will be starting the sub stage install in my thunderbird as soon as its out of the shop. I have Alpine type-s components all the way around right now, all 5x7 factory size. They sound excellent. Nice and crisp and clear...they lack the "Punch" though. They are just really weak in the mids, and I am wondering if components would help with this. I will be deciding after the substage if I am going to replace them or not, but right now im just wondering what my options are.
