opinion: 15 to a 12

i want a bit more room in the back of my blazer but i don't want to sacrafice a whole lot of output if any... so i'm thinking of downgrading to a 12...

i'm used to a 15"sx... If i dropped it down to a 12 would i loose some serious output??

If i did go for a 12... what 12 off of 1200rms would give me the output i'm looking for??? :/

my budget is right around 250 shipped at most

im likin the 12s. more of wha i want. i say a single 12 TYPE R would be awesome. tune low and i bet it'll be louder than ya SX was. u wouldnt loose at all. i didnt, still have the strong low end, now wit some authority and punch

I knew it would only take a lil while before you ditched the 15SX. LOL I noticed a big gain going from an MTX 8512 to the RE SX15 in output. I would go with a pair of 12's that dont require all that big of space. I would say try the Type R's, but that would be the word of mouth lately. But I would say try a pair of 12's in a ported box. I noticed a big gain going from the 15 to the two 12's.

As far as SQ goes, yes... As far as Output, probably not
