Alright folks I'm all done with my project. here's the equipment to start with:

2002 honda civic sedan (trunk car)

Stock alt and stock front batt

1/0 big 3, 1 1/0 run. kinetik hc1400 in the back

2 SONY XPLOD xs-l121p5 single 4ohm subs

audiopipe ap18001d amp at 2ohm

So my goal was 140 at the dash with these 2 low level sony 12s. the biggest challenge was making sure the port didn't extend past the bpillar and getting the subs and port all on the same plane.

moving along, put it all together this morning. drilled the holes, put the bolts in for terminals (even though I'm using like 14ga wire, for future subs this box will be half ready) No bracing or resin, can do that when I use this for beefier subs

but it turned out that the tape had failed and the port was hanging off. so retaped it stronger (gonna have to get some brackets for it in the future) and retested at the dash sealed up

got my freakin goal easily

not much change in the kick

not that high in the port

played some music at illbemeubu's request. didn't sound bad at all on music. got a score off "a milli"

so that's all folks. had fun with this project. will get some beefier 12's and brace/resin for future use. but for now, WHO SAYS SONY CAN'T GET LOUD :hand://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You can polish a turd all day long, and it may be a very fine looking turd... but at the end of the day, it's still a turd.
