First off, I searched, but coudln't find anything.

I drive an SUV that's got a hard top on half the time, and a soft top or no top on the other half(Picture a jeep wrangler). What i'm trying to figure out is what type of box I should use for when i've got no top on it. I have a single 12'' L7 in the small sealed box I got it in, and i'm planning on just using that box.

I have the skills and resources to make pretty much any type of box, if I can find the measuremements, but easier is always better:cool: as for space, figure as much as a k5 blazer, or fullsize bronco.

Sparknotes: which box type for an open air environment?

thanks for any input. i'll attempt to attach a pic of what it's going in, but I don't know if i'm allowed. Never tried before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif it's changed since the pic, but you'll get the idea.

This is what I did for a customer with an open top;

Basically a ported box with an obsenely large and long port, uses the same principles the toxic bass guys for their enclosures.

A conventional big ported box tuned low (~30hz) will work also.
