Only send bass to subs

Hey I have a question, and I dont know if this is the right forum of not but here goes. When ever I turn the volume up it sends bass to my subs and to my door speakers, but that makes my door speakers rattle because they aren't supposed to play that. How do i tell my door speakers not to play bass, and send the bass only to the subs?

my head unit has an LPF and HPF thing is this it?

does your head unit have a sub output? or low level output?

turn on the high pass for your headunit. i did it with mine and it doesnt play the lower frequencies in the car speakers.

My front components are high passed at about 65-70Hz. 80HZ is generally considered a good 'text book' starting place, then if you don't feel enough up front bass tweak slightly downward. If you're still getting 'bad' bass up front tweak slightly upward. Depending on your HU you may have less flexibility with this tweaking but if you have an amp and the notches are clearly marked and understandable play with it a little bit.
