Only 1 thing left rattling..the mirror.

I cured every rattle that I could hear from my car both inside and outside except the rear view mirror. I don't want to ditch it, if I put my hand on it, it'll stop so it doesn't take much to prevent it from rattling. Do I have any other options?

No, the mirror housing, the plastic piece surrounding the mirror glass itself. At least that's what I'm touching to get it to stop. Just putting a little pressure anywhere on the back plastic portion of the mirror housing and it stops. Mirror hinge is good and tight. I don't feel any screw holes behind the mirror piece so I don't think I can take it apart. It's like I need a clamp or something to put some pressure on it

Credit goes to taylor Fade...

try wrapping rubber bands around that b¡tch.

If you dont give a sh*t, buy some great stuff expanding foam (red can) from home depot and find any opening/ in your mirror and load that sucker up. Did that with my corolla and that loud POS mirror shut the fk up right after.

The foam expands and hardens which pushes the mirrors and plastics tightly against eachother.

Is the mirror itself rattling in the housing? Steadying the housing may quiet something rattling inside. Without hearing it, its tough to say.
Possiby...perhaps the glass edge against the plastic.

Not a bad idea...I'll try it.

I didn't notice an opening but I'll look at it closer tomorrow.

I should update. Turns out it was the lever to adjust to night...whatever it's called. I just happened to flip it and it stopped rattling, so I re adjusted the mirror for day and so far, not a single noticeable rattle....but then again I'm not driving a lot of power like most here.

My rear view mirror has rattled off a few times. The screw won't stay tight, so I'm going to put some loctite on soon. Luckily, it hasn't separated from the glass. I know some people have that problem, but my windshield doesn't move that much (yet)
