I posted in the 'helpful Car audio site' thread but saw nobody really posts there anymore. I want to ask a question and give a warning about a site however. Today I had 2 bad experiences. But one was a real problem. The other will probably be resolved.
My problem came from explosive electronics. Which I found through Amazon.com so I thought it would be somewhat safe and trusted.
I had my first bad experience come from two different online stores in the same day.
It took me a long time to find an infinity Reference 611a amp that would send to my cousin. I finally find a site a few days ago. I order it and receive an email today saying they are out of stock. When I read that first line of the email, I thought "oh, no problem.. I'll get my refund." but later in the email it does not mention anything about a refund and says this - "We are very sorry all we can do it offer you credit and if you like anything in our amazon store that cost a little more we can give it to you for the same price." That is horrible news to hear as I looked at like 500 different sites for this exact amp and I am very picky to where I buy from and thought I found a reliable store to sell me it and they do not offer a refund? I emailed them saying I want my money back. Hopefully they will answer my email and say it is ok. If not then I am out of that money as I do not plan on buying another item from their store.
what should I do? Can they do this to me? where can I find a safe site to buy this amp? I am buying it for my Canadian cousin so I need to get it from a place that will send to Canada. Someone please help. I will feel bad knowing that a thing I planned on buying as a gift for a cousin's B-Day goes this bad. I will be a pretty bad cousin for not giving a gift also. His B-Day is in 3 weeks and I want it there before then... Sorry for all the extra personal info but PLEASE HELP ME!
